Random Korea Phone Numbers
Press generate for one to ten fake South Korean mobile numbers in +82-10-XXXX-XXXX format, each with a copy button. The Random Korea Phone Numbers generator produces between one and ten fake South Korean mobile numbers in the international format, for example +82-10-4827-3915. Every number carries the country code +82 and the mobile prefix 10, which is what almost every Korean cell phone has used since the country consolidated its mobile prefixes in the 2000s. The eight digits after the 10 are random, so the numbers have the right length and shape for form validation but do not belong to anyone you could reach. Each result card has a copy button. Use it for test data, mockups, sample CSV files and fiction set in Korea.
What you can set
There is one control: the count, from 1 to 10, with a default of 5. Output is fixed to the +82-10-XXXX-XXXX mobile pattern. There is no landline option, no city or province filter, and no choice of carrier. Each card shows the number with the label "Korea" underneath, and clicking the number copies it to the clipboard. If you need numbers for several countries in one table, the same generator exists for the US, the UK, India and Indonesia, and you can browse all phone number generators on the category page.
How South Korean phone numbers are structured
South Korea's numbering plan is managed by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Domestic numbers begin with a trunk 0 that is dropped when dialing from abroad, so 010-4827-3915 becomes +82 10-4827-3915. Mobile numbers are the easy case: the prefix 010 followed by eight digits, written 010-XXXX-XXXX. Older prefixes 011, 016, 017, 018 and 019 belonged to specific carriers (011 to SK Telecom, 016 and 018 to KTF, 017 to Shinsegi, 019 to LG) and were migrated to 010 between 2004 and 2021, which is why a real 011 number is now very rare.
| Type | Domestic format | International format | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile | 010-XXXX-XXXX | +82 10-XXXX-XXXX | 11 digits domestically. This is the pattern the tool generates. |
| Seoul landline | 02-XXX-XXXX or 02-XXXX-XXXX | +82 2-XXXX-XXXX | Seoul is the only area with a one-digit code after the 0. |
| Other landlines | 0XX-XXX-XXXX | +82 XX-XXX-XXXX | 031 Gyeonggi, 032 Incheon, 042 Daejeon, 051 Busan, 053 Daegu, 062 Gwangju, 064 Jeju. |
| Internet phone (VoIP) | 070-XXXX-XXXX | +82 70-XXXX-XXXX | Common for businesses and call centers. |
| Toll-free and premium | 080-XXX-XXXX / 060-XXX-XXXX | +82 80-XXX-XXXX | 080 is free to the caller; 060 is premium rate. |
A few details are useful when you're validating input. A Korean mobile number in E.164 form is +82 followed by ten digits, twelve digits in total, and Koreans almost always write it with hyphens in 3-4-4 groups. Middle blocks starting with 0 or 1 are not assigned in real life, so a validator that only checks length and the 010 prefix will accept anything this tool produces, while a strict one may reject a small share of results. That is the one structural limit of the generator: it fixes +82-10 and randomizes the rest without checking allocated ranges. Unallocated numbers are the safest kind of test data, so we left it that way.
Sample output
Five numbers in the format the tool produces. All are random and none is known to correspond to a real subscriber.

Ways people use it
- Checking a phone field. Ten numbers with hyphens is enough to confirm a form accepts the +82 prefix, strips the separators and stores a twelve-digit E.164 value.
- Seeding a database for a Korean client. A users table needs plausible 010 numbers next to Korean names and Seoul or Busan addresses.
- App store screenshots and design comps. A contact card or KakaoTalk-style chat mockup should not show a real person's number.
- Fiction and K-drama fan work. A character texts a number on screen for a moment; a random one avoids sending readers to a real phone.
- Teaching international dialing. The domestic and international columns above show exactly what changes when the trunk 0 is replaced by +82.
Related generators cover Canada, Australia and Turkey in the same one-to-ten format.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these real Korean phone numbers?
No. The +82 country code and the 10 mobile prefix are fixed and the remaining eight digits are random. A generated number could coincidentally match an assigned line, so never call, text or register with one.
- Can I use a generated number to receive an SMS verification code?
No. These are strings of digits, not working lines. Verification codes need a real SIM or a virtual number service, which this tool is not.
- Why do all the numbers start with 010?
Because 010 is the prefix for essentially every South Korean mobile number today. The older carrier-specific prefixes 011, 016, 017, 018 and 019 were phased out and migrated to 010, with the last of them retired in 2021.
- Does the tool make Seoul landline or 070 internet-phone numbers?
Not currently. Output is mobile only. Seoul landlines use the area code 02, other cities use three-digit codes such as 051 for Busan, and VoIP lines use 070.
- How do I write a Korean mobile number for a form that wants no hyphens?
Drop the separators and the leading 0, and keep the country code: +82-10-4827-3915 becomes +821048273915, which is the E.164 form most APIs expect.
