Meta Title Generator

Enter a topic or keyword and get an AI-written SEO meta title you can copy, download as a text file or share.
0/300

Type a topic, page subject or target keyword into the box (up to 300 characters), press Generate Meta Title, and after a moment you get an AI-written title for the page along with a supporting line beneath it. The card has buttons to copy both lines, download them as a .txt file, or share them to WhatsApp, X or Facebook. It is a free meta title generator for bloggers, shop owners and anyone who has to fill in the title tag on a page and would rather start from a draft than a blank field.

How it works

The text you enter is sent to our content API, which uses an AI language model to write one title and one accompanying line in the style of an SEO title tag. One press gives one result; press again with the same input for a different one, or edit the topic to steer it. Because the model runs on our server, the tool needs a network connection and occasionally takes a few seconds. If the request fails you see an error message and can retry. Nothing you type is saved to an account, and there is no sign-up.

The input counter shows how much of the 300-character limit you have used. Longer inputs are not better: a keyword plus a phrase about the page's angle ("standing desk review for small apartments") gives the model more to work with than a paragraph.

What comes back

The result card has two parts: a heading, which is the meta title itself, and a line of text under it. The copy button grabs both, formatted as "Title:" and "Meta Title:" on separate lines, and the download button saves the same text as a file named after the title. The tool does not measure pixel width or character count for you, so check the length against the guidance below before pasting it into your CMS.

What makes a meta title work

A title tag is the blue link in a Google result and the label on the browser tab. Whatever the generator gives you, judge it against these points:

  • Length. Google cuts titles at roughly 600 pixels, which works out to about 50 to 60 characters. Longer titles get truncated with an ellipsis, usually at the end, so put the important words first.
  • Keyword early, brand late. "Standing Desk Review: Best Picks for Small Apartments | ShopName" reads better and ranks the same as a brand-first version, but survives truncation.
  • One title per page. Duplicate titles across pages are one of the most common issues in Search Console. Change the topic in the box for each page rather than reusing a result.
  • Match the page. Google rewrites titles it judges misleading or stuffed. A title that promises "10 Best" needs a page with ten items.
  • Plain punctuation. Colons, dashes and pipes are fine. All caps, emoji and repeated keywords are not.

Typical uses

  • Blog posts. Paste the working headline as the topic and use the result as the title tag, keeping the on-page H1 as written.
  • Product and category pages. Enter the product name plus its main attribute ("cast iron skillet 12 inch pre-seasoned") to get a title that includes the qualifier.
  • Refreshing old pages. Run each page's topic through the tool, compare against the current title, and keep whichever is shorter and more specific.
  • A/B ideas for click-through. Generate three or four variants and test them over a few weeks in Search Console.

For the rest of the page, the AI Introduction Generator drafts the opening paragraph and the Conclusion Generator handles the close; the Free AI Slogan Generator is the better tool when you need a tagline rather than a title tag. See all writing and AI tools for the full set.

Frequently asked questions

Is the meta title generator free?

Yes. There is no account, no credit system and no limit on presses beyond ordinary fair use. The AI request runs on our server.

Does it write the meta description too?

It returns a title plus one supporting line. That line can be a starting point for a description, but it is not written to the 150 to 160 character description length, so edit it before using it as one.

How long should a meta title be?

Aim for 50 to 60 characters. Google displays about 600 pixels of a title, and wide letters use more of that space than narrow ones, so a 60-character title in capitals may still be cut. The tool does not enforce a length; count it yourself or trim the result.

Will Google use the title exactly as written?

Not always. Google rewrites titles it considers too long, repetitive, or a poor match for the page, often substituting the H1. Keeping the generated title short and honest is the best way to have it shown as is.

Why did I get an error?

Either the box was empty, or the request to the API failed (a network hiccup or a busy server). Check the input and press the button again.
