Pokémon Infinite Fusion Generator
One click draws two random Pokémon from all 1,008 species, with sprite and types, as a head-and-body pair to fuse.Press the button and you get two Pokémon side by side, each with its official sprite, name and types, picked at random from all 1,008 species from Bulbasaur to Miraidon. Treat the left one as the head and the right one as the body, and you have a fusion pair ready to build in the Pokémon Infinite Fusion fan game, to draw yourself, or to hand to a friend as a challenge. The tool does not draw the fused sprite for you; it decides the pair, which is the part most people get stuck on.
What you get, and what you don't
Each click returns exactly two Pokémon, always different from each other, with no filters. The pool is the full national dex through Generation 9, including 96 legendary and mythical Pokémon, so a pair like Magikarp + Arceus is as likely as Eevee + Growlithe. Types are shown as they appear in the main games (for example "Grass,Poison"), which is what you need to work out the fused typing below.
There is no fused artwork, no fused name and no stat calculation on this page. Custom fusion sprites exist only for pairs the Infinite Fusion community has drawn, and there is no way to generate one for an arbitrary pair on a website. If you want a single random Pokémon with its full dex entry, or a team with type and generation filters, use the Random Pokémon Generator or the Random Pokémon Team Generator.
How fusion works in Pokémon Infinite Fusion
Pokémon Infinite Fusion is a fan-made game built on Pokémon Essentials in which any two Pokémon can be combined with a DNA Splicer. The rules are simple enough to apply by hand to any pair this tool gives you:
- Typing. The fusion takes its first type from the head and its second type from the body (the body's second type if it has one, otherwise its first). If that produces the same type twice, the fusion is mono-typed. One exception: a Normal/Flying head such as Pidgeot contributes Flying, not Normal, so Pidgeot-head fusions are not stuck with a Normal typing.
- Stats. HP, Special Attack and Special Defense lean toward the head (two thirds head, one third body); Attack, Defense and Speed lean toward the body. So Alakazam as head keeps most of its Special Attack, and Machamp as body brings most of its Attack.
- Name. The game glues the front of the head's name to the back of the body's name, which is where names like "Charsaur" and "Pikameow" come from.
- Abilities and moves. The fusion can learn moves from both parents and picks one ability from either.
- Sprites. The game ships with auto-generated sprites for every combination and thousands of hand-drawn custom ones contributed by players.
Note that the fan game's roster is around 470 species, mostly Generations 1 and 2 plus a selection of later favorites. This tool draws from all 1,008, so some pairs (say, anything with a Paldean Pokémon) cannot be built in the game itself and are better used as art prompts.
Sample pairs and their fused typing
| Head | Body | Fused type | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulbasaur (Grass/Poison) | Charmander (Fire) | Grass/Fire | Head gives Grass, body gives its only type |
| Pikachu (Electric) | Meowth (Normal) | Electric/Normal | Both parents mono-typed |
| Lapras (Water/Ice) | Snorlax (Normal) | Water/Normal | Lapras loses Ice as head |
| Gengar (Ghost/Poison) | Alakazam (Psychic) | Ghost/Psychic | Poison dropped, Psychic added |
| Pidgeot (Normal/Flying) | Arcanine (Fire) | Flying/Fire | Normal/Flying head exception |
| Gyarados (Water/Flying) | Vaporeon (Water) | Water | Same type twice collapses to one |
Swap head and body and the result changes: Charmander head + Bulbasaur body becomes Fire/Poison. Generate a pair, work out both orders, and keep whichever typing is more interesting.
Ways to use the pairs
- Randomized Infinite Fusion runs. Roll a pair before each gym and fuse whatever comes up, if both are in the game's roster.
- Art prompts. Sprite artists and Discord fusion threads use random pairs to avoid always drawing the same popular combos.
- Type puzzles. Work out the fused typing and its weaknesses as a quick quiz; the Random Pokémon Type Generator is handy for the reverse exercise.
- Naming games. Come up with the portmanteau before checking what the game would call it.
More randomizers for games and anime, including the Random Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards picker and the Random Devil Fruit Generator, are under all game & anime generators.
Frequently asked questions
- Does this generator create the fused Pokémon image?
No. It picks two random Pokémon and shows their normal sprites, names and types. Fused sprites only exist inside the Infinite Fusion fan game and in community art packs; no site can render one for an arbitrary pair.
- Which Pokémon can appear?
All 1,008 species from the national dex through Generation 9, legendaries and mythicals included. There are no generation or type filters on this page.
- Which one is the head and which is the body?
The tool does not label them, so by convention take the first (left) card as the head and the second as the body. Swap them if the other typing is better.
- Are all these pairs possible in Pokémon Infinite Fusion?
Not all. The fan game includes roughly 470 species, mainly Generations 1 and 2 plus selected later Pokémon. Pairs involving Pokémon outside that roster can't be made in-game but still work as drawing prompts.
- Can I get more than two Pokémon at once?
Not here; each click gives one pair. For a whole team, use the Random Pokémon Team Generator.
