Random 6 Digit Number Generator
Get 1 to 15 random six-digit numbers from 100000 to 999999, each on its own card with a copy button. The Random 6 Digit Number Generator gives you between 1 and 15 whole numbers from 100000 to 999999, one per card, each with a copy button. Every number is a true six-digit value, so you never get a leading zero. It is the quick option when you need a batch of PIN-style codes, verification-code lookalikes for a test, raffle ticket numbers, or a number for a game, without the setup of a full-range generator.
How it works
Type how many numbers you want (1 to 15) and press Generate Number. Each value is drawn independently and uniformly from the 900,000 possible six-digit numbers, so repeats within a batch are possible but very unlikely (with 15 numbers the odds of any duplicate are about 1 in 8,600). Press again for a fresh set. Copying puts just the digits on your clipboard, nothing else.
The numbers come from the browser's standard Math.random function. That is fine for games, samples, placeholders and test data, but it is not a cryptographic source, so do not use it to mint real one-time passwords or security tokens. For secrets that must be unguessable, use the Encryption Key Generator, which is built for that.
Ways people use six-digit numbers
- PIN ideas. A random six-digit number is a better phone or padlock PIN than a birthday, and six digits gives 900,000 combinations versus 10,000 for four. Generate a few, pick one you can remember, and never store it here.
- Test data for verification flows. SMS and email verification codes are almost always six digits. Generate 15 at a time to fill test cases for a sign-up form or to mock an OTP response. The Random Code Generator covers alphanumeric formats if letters are needed.
- Raffle and ticket numbers. Print a batch, hand them out, then draw one with the Random Number Generator set to the same range.
- Games and challenges. Guess-the-number with six digits, lottery-style picks, or a seed for a board-game scenario.
- Placeholders. Order numbers, invoice numbers and customer IDs in a mock-up look more realistic as six-digit values than as 12345.
The six-digit range at a glance
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Smallest possible result | 100000 |
| Largest possible result | 999999 |
| Number of possible values | 900,000 |
| Chance of guessing one in a single try | 1 in 900,000 |
| Numbers per press | 1 to 15 |
| Sample output | 438201, 917655, 205390, 660418 |
If six is the wrong length, the Random 4 Digit Number Generator and Random 5 Digit Number Generator work exactly the same way with shorter ranges, and all number generators lists the rest, including primes and binary.
Frequently asked questions
- Can the generator produce a number starting with 0?
No. Results run from 100000 to 999999, so the first digit is always 1 to 9. If you need zero-padded codes such as 004512, generate a number with a different tool and pad it yourself, or treat the digits after the first as your code.
- Is this safe to use for a real PIN or OTP?
As a PIN you pick and memorize, yes; the number is generated in your browser and never stored. As a system that issues one-time passwords, no, because it relies on Math.random rather than a cryptographic generator.
- How many 6-digit numbers can I generate at once?
Up to 15 per press. Press again for another 15; there is no daily limit.
- Will I get duplicates?
Each number is drawn independently, so a duplicate inside one batch is possible but rare, roughly a 1-in-8,600 chance for a batch of 15. Check the cards if uniqueness matters.
