Random Hong Kong Address Generator
Enter a count (1 to 10) and get fictional Hong Kong addresses with flat, floor, building, a real street name and one of the 18 districts, each with a copy button. The Random Hong Kong Address Generator returns one to ten addresses from a list of 1,000 written in the local style: flat and floor first, then a building number, a street number and street name, a district and "Hong Kong," as in 13A 42F, Building 803, 40 Lockhart Rd, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Each one appears on a card with a copy button. The street names and districts are real; the flat, floor, building and street numbers are random, so no line describes an actual home. Use them when a form, a database or a mockup needs a random address in Hong Kong and a real one would be a privacy problem.
How it works
Type how many you want (1 to 10) and press Generate Address. The tool shuffles the list and shows the first entries, so a batch never repeats itself. There are no filters for district or area. The list was built by combining parts: twenty well-known streets (Nathan Rd, Hollywood Rd, Des Voeux Rd, Queen's Rd, Hennessy Rd, Argyle St, Tung Choi St, Castle Peak Rd and others) crossed with all eighteen districts. Because the pairing is random, a street will often sit in the wrong district: Nathan Rd is in Yau Tsim Mong in real life, but here it may show up under Sha Tin or Islands. For software tests that only care about format, that does not matter. For an address a reader should believe, pick a result where the street and district agree, using the table below.
Who uses it
- Developers testing address forms. Hong Kong has no postal code, so a checkout form that makes the postcode field mandatory will block every Hong Kong customer. These addresses help you catch that.
- Teams seeding demo data for apps aimed at Hong Kong users: delivery, property, banking and ride-hailing demos all look better with a Wan Chai flat than with a US placeholder.
- Writers and game designers who want a character to live on a specific floor of a Mong Kok building without naming a real one.
How Hong Kong addresses work
Hong Kong writes addresses from the smallest unit to the largest, in English or Chinese. A typical English address reads: Flat 13A, 42/F, Block 3, Example Court, 40 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Floors are written with "/F" and many buildings skip floor numbers containing 4, so a 42/F flat can exist in a building with far fewer physical stories. The generator uses a shorter "13A 42F, Building 803" form and a numbered building instead of a name. The last line is the area: Hong Kong (for Hong Kong Island), Kowloon or New Territories. The tool always writes "Hong Kong," even for Kowloon and New Territories districts, so adjust that line if your test data needs the three-way split.
There is no postcode system. Hongkong Post sorts by district, and when an online form insists on a postal code, residents commonly enter 000000 or 999077. The 18 districts, grouped by area, are:
| Area | Districts | Streets in the list that belong there |
|---|---|---|
| Hong Kong Island | Central and Western, Wan Chai, Eastern, Southern | Des Voeux Rd, Queen's Rd, Connaught Rd, Hollywood Rd, Queensway, Hennessy Rd, Lockhart Rd, Harbour Rd, Causeway Rd, Kingsway, Victoria Rd |
| Kowloon | Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City, Wong Tai Sin, Kwun Tong | Nathan Rd, Canton Rd, Argyle St, Mong Kok Rd, Tung Choi St, Waterloo Rd, Boundary St, Tai Po Rd (western end) |
| New Territories | Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, North, Tai Po, Sha Tin, Sai Kung, Islands | Castle Peak Rd, Tai Po Rd (eastern stretches) |
Other country generators on the site work the same way: the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Chile and Mexico pages each follow their own local format. Browse all address & postal code generators for more.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these real Hong Kong addresses?
No. The streets and districts exist, but the flat, floor, building and street numbers are random, and the street is often paired with a district it is not in. Treat every result as fictional.
- Why is there no postal code?
Hong Kong does not use postal codes. If a form requires one, 000000 is the usual placeholder. This is a good thing to test, since many international checkout forms wrongly require a code.
- Can I choose Kowloon or the New Territories only?
Not with a filter. Generate a batch and keep the results whose district is in the area you need; the table on this page lists which districts belong to which area.
- How many addresses can I generate at once?
From 1 to 10 per click, with no repeats inside a batch.
