Random Chile Address
Get up to 10 fictional one-line addresses with a copy button, drawn from a fixed list of 2,000.Enter a count from 1 to 10 and press the button. The Random Chile Address tool returns that many fictional addresses, each as a single line on a card with a copy icon: a street type and name, a building number, sometimes a floor or door, then a town and a postal code. It is a placeholder generator for forms, demo data and mockups, not a directory of real Chilean locations.
What you can set
Only the number of addresses. There is no region, comuna or city picker, and no option to split the output into fields. Every result is drawn from a fixed list of 2,000 pre-written lines and shown as-is. Press Generate Address again for a fresh set.
What each result looks like
One line of text per card, for example a pattern like Pasaje de Julieta Anaya 141 Puerta 7, Segovia, 17148: Spanish-language street types (Calle, Pasaje, Avenida, Alameda, Ronda, Camino, Plaza), a person's name as the street name, a number, an optional unit (Piso 2, Puerta 4, Apt. 91), a town, and a five-digit code. The copy button puts the whole line on your clipboard.
Be aware of one thing before using these as Chile-specific test data: the current list uses Spanish-style town names and five-digit postal codes. Real Chilean postal codes have seven digits and real Chilean addresses name a comuna and a region, as described below. The lines are fine as generic Spanish-language placeholder addresses, but they will not pass a validator that checks Chilean postal-code format.
How a real Chilean address is written
If you are formatting your own data for Chile, or want to adapt a generated line so it reads correctly, this is the structure Correos de Chile expects:
| Line | Content | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Recipient | Sra. Carolina Pérez Soto |
| 2 | Street type, street name, number, unit | Av. Providencia 1234, Depto. 56 |
| 3 | Postal code and comuna | 7500000 Providencia |
| 4 | City and region | Santiago, Región Metropolitana |
| 5 | Country (international mail) | CHILE |
- Street types are abbreviated: Av. or Avda. (avenida), Pje. (pasaje), Cno. (camino). Calle is often left out entirely, so "Merced 456" is a complete street line.
- Numbers come after the street name, and apartments use Depto. (departamento), offices Of. (oficina), houses in a gated development Casa.
- The comuna is the key unit. Chile has 346 comunas grouped into 16 regions; Greater Santiago alone is made of dozens of them (Providencia, Las Condes, Ñuñoa, Maipú, Puente Alto), and the comuna, not "Santiago", is what sorts the mail.
- Postal codes are seven digits, one block per comuna or sector. Commonly cited base codes include 8320000 Santiago Centro, 7500000 Providencia, 7550000 Las Condes, 2340000 Valparaíso, 2520000 Viña del Mar, 4030000 Concepción, 1240000 Antofagasta and 6200000 Punta Arenas. Codes are rarely used in everyday addressing but courier and e-commerce forms increasingly require them.
Ways people use it
- Filling address fields during testing. A checkout or sign-up form that needs a Spanish-language address with a number and a unit gets a plausible one in a click.
- Demo customer records. Paste ten lines into a spreadsheet to populate a mock CRM or invoice run.
- Design placeholders. Shipping labels, receipts and profile screens in a Spanish-language UI look more finished with a real-shaped address than with "123 Main St".
- Fiction. A letter or a delivery in a story, where inventing a street name from scratch is a distraction.
For other Spanish-language or Latin American formats, the Random Mexico Address Generator is the closest neighbor. European and Commonwealth formats are covered by the France, Germany, Australia and Canada address generators, and the whole set is under all address and postal code generators.
Frequently asked questions
- Are the generated addresses real places in Chile?
No. They are fictional lines from a fixed list. Nothing is checked against a map or Correos de Chile, and the current list uses Spanish-style towns and five-digit codes rather than Chilean comunas and seven-digit postal codes.
- Can I use a fake Chile address to sign up for a service or receive mail?
No. The addresses do not correspond to deliverable locations, and using an invented address to get around a service's country check usually breaks its terms. Use them for testing, mockups and writing.
- What does a Chilean postal code look like?
Seven digits, assigned by comuna or sector, for example 7500000 for Providencia or 2340000 for Valparaíso. Everyday mail rarely needs it, but online checkouts often ask for it.
- How many addresses can I generate at once?
Between 1 and 10 per press, drawn from a list of 2,000 lines. Press the button again for another set.
- How should I write a Chilean address on an envelope?
Name, then street and number with any Depto. or Of., then the postal code and comuna, then city and region, and CHILE on the last line for international mail. Example: Av. Providencia 1234, Depto. 56 / 7500000 Providencia / Santiago, Región Metropolitana.
