Random India Address Generator
Get 1 to 15 fake Indian addresses with a street, town, real state and six-digit PIN code, each with a copy button. The Random India Address Generator gives you 1 to 15 made-up Indian addresses per click. Each line has a street address, a town, one of India's real states or union territories, a six-digit PIN code and "India" at the end, with a copy button next to it. Nothing generated here belongs to a real person or building, which is what makes it safe for form testing and sample data.
What you can set
One thing: the number of addresses, from 1 to 15. There is no state or city filter. Each address picks its state independently, so a batch of ten will spread across the country rather than sit in one region.
What is real and what is invented in each address
The addresses come from the Faker library's Indian English locale, and it is worth being clear about what that locale contains:
- State or union territory: real. The list covers all of them, from Andhra Pradesh and Assam through Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, plus territories such as Delhi, Chandigarh and Puducherry.
- PIN code: six random digits, shown as "### ###" (for example 560 021). It has the right length but is not matched to the state, so the first digit will not line up with the real postal zone.
- Street and town: these are placeholders in the generic Western style (a house number, an invented street name, a town like "New Marcelle" or "Port Devon"). The locale does not include Indian street or city names, so you will not see "MG Road" or "Andheri West" here. If you need Indian-sounding localities, edit that part of the line after copying.
In short, the output has the shape of an Indian address and a genuine state and PIN length, but the street and town are generic filler. That is fine for validating a form or padding a spreadsheet; it is not a source of real locality names.
How Indian addresses and PIN codes are structured
A typical Indian postal address runs from the specific to the general:
Flat 4B, Sunrise Apartments 12 Residency Road Bengaluru, Karnataka 560025 India
The Postal Index Number (PIN) has six digits. The first digit is one of nine postal zones (1 for Delhi, Punjab and the northwest; 4 for Maharashtra and Goa; 5 for Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka; 6 for Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and so on). The second digit narrows to a sub-zone, the third to a sorting district, and the last three identify the delivery post office. Because this generator picks all six digits at random, treat its PIN codes as format-correct only.

Common uses for a dummy Indian address
- Form and checkout testing where a state dropdown and a six-digit PIN are required fields.
- Seed data for a CRM, e-commerce demo or analytics dashboard that needs customers spread across Indian states.
- Mockups and screenshots for an Indian version of an app, where a real customer's address must not appear.
- Practice for data-entry or address-parsing code, where the PIN and state fields matter more than the street.

Frequently asked questions
- Are these real Indian addresses?
No. The state is real, but the street, town and PIN code are random. The addresses are not deliverable and do not belong to anyone.
- Can I use a fake Indian address to sign up for a website?
The addresses are meant for testing, demos and sample data. Providing a false address on a service that requires a real one usually violates its terms, and anything mailed to it will not arrive.
- Why do the street and city names not sound Indian?
The locale data behind the tool has real Indian states and a six-digit PIN format but no Indian street or city list, so those two parts are filled with generic placeholder names. Swap them for real localities if your use case needs them.
- Is the PIN code valid?
It is always six digits, which is the correct length, but the digits are random and are not checked against the state. Real PIN codes encode the region in their first digits; generated ones do not.
- Can I generate addresses for one state only, such as Maharashtra or Delhi?
Not directly. Generate a batch of up to 15 and copy the ones in the state you need.
