Random Romania Phone Numbers

Generate 1 to 10 made-up Romanian mobile numbers in +40 7XX-XXX-XXX format, each with a one-click copy button.

Choose a count between 1 and 10, press Generate, and the Random Romania Phone Numbers tool lists that many mobile numbers in the form +40-7XX-XXX-XXX. Each sits on a card labeled "Romania" with a copy icon. The 7 is fixed because Romanian mobiles all start with 07; the eight digits after it are random.

What you can set

Only the number of results, capped at 10 per press. There's no choice of operator, county or landline versus mobile. Each press produces a new batch, so generating 30 numbers means three presses.

Romania's numbering plan

Romania uses country code +40 and a closed 10-digit plan: every domestic number, landline or mobile, is 10 digits including the leading 0, and the 0 is dropped after +40. Mobile numbers are 07XX XXX XXX. The two digits after 07 originally identified the operator:

PrefixOperator
072, 073, 074Vodafone Romania
074, 075, 076Orange Romania
072, 073 (parts), 077Digi Mobil (RCS & RDS)
076 (parts), 078, 079Telekom Romania Mobile

The ranges overlap because ANCOM, the regulator, hands out blocks within each prefix, and because number portability has been in place since 2008, so the prefix is only a hint. Landlines start 02 or 03: 021 and 031 are Bucharest, and other counties use 02XX or 03XX followed by six digits. Non-geographic numbers use 08 (0800 freephone) and 09 (premium).

A result such as +40-712-345-678 corresponds to 0712 345 678 dialed inside Romania. The generator doesn't restrict the digit after 07, so some results will carry prefixes like 070 or 071 that aren't assigned to any carrier. They still pass a length and prefix check, which is what most validators look at.

Ways people use it

  • Form validation. Checking that a signup flow accepts +40 7XX XXX XXX, strips the separators and rejects nine- or eleven-digit variants.
  • Fake customer records. Populating a staging database for a Romanian e-commerce or delivery app with numbers that read as local.
  • Sample invoices and UI mockups. Placeholder contact details on documents aimed at the Romanian market without exposing a real person's number.
  • Multi-country test sets. Combine with the Random Turkey Phone Number Generator (+90 5XX) and Random UK Phone Number Generator (+44 7XXX) to test that parsing handles different lengths correctly.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real Romanian phone numbers?

No. Everything after +40-7 is random. A number could match a real subscriber by coincidence, so use them only as placeholders and test data.

Why do the numbers always start with 07?

All Romanian mobile numbers are in the 07 range. Keeping the 7 fixed makes the output recognizable as a mobile number rather than a landline.

How many digits does a Romanian number have?

Ten, including the leading 0, for both mobiles and landlines. In international format it is +40 followed by nine digits.

Can I generate Bucharest landline numbers?

Not with this tool. Bucharest landlines start 021 or 031 followed by seven digits; the generator only produces 07 mobile numbers.
