Random RP Scenario Generator

The Random RP Scenario Generator takes two character names and hands back a single-sentence situation that puts them together: "Kevin shows up to a blind date... Who turns out to be Stella," or "Kevin and Stella are trapped together in a small, enclosed space." There are 54 scenarios in the list, all written for exactly two characters, which makes it a fit for one-on-one roleplay on Discord and Tumblr, for shipping prompts, and for writers who want a scene to warm up on rather than a whole plot.

What you enter and what comes back

Two text boxes, both required: a first character and a second. The defaults are Kevin and Stella, but any names work, including canon characters, OCs or "you" and "me." Press the button and the tool picks one of the 54 prompts and substitutes your names for "Character X" and "Character Y." Prompts that begin "Both characters" become "Kevin and Stella," and a handful that start "One or both characters" are left as written because they apply to either person. The order matters a little: the first name is usually the one doing something, the second is usually on the receiving end, so swap them and press again if the dynamic feels backwards.

There is no genre setting, no length setting and no way to generate several at once. Each press gives one scenario on a card. It does not pull in random objects, emojis or quotes; if you have seen that claim elsewhere, it was never true of this tool.

What kind of scenarios are in the list

The prompts come from the tradition of two-person RP starters that circulate on fandom blogs, and they lean toward interaction rather than world-building. A rough breakdown:

• Everyday and domestic – sharing a drink, planning a surprise party, being awake at 3am, one character falling asleep on the other, fixing something the other broke.
• Conflict and mishap – an accidental black eye, a friendly sparring match that gets real, a ridiculous injury nobody wants to explain, an apology that has to be made.
• Mystery and danger – waking up somewhere with no memory of how, encountering a dangerous animal, taking refuge from something, one character covered in blood.
• Alternate universes – five prompts are tagged (AU): post-apocalyptic survival, both characters as superheroes, soulmates, employee and manager, and renovating a space together.
• Romantic tension – the blind date, catching someone staring from across the room, flirting coaching, temporarily reading each other's auras.

Nothing in the list is explicit. The most intense prompts involve injury or a petty crime committed together, so it is usable in all-ages communities.

Ways people use it

• Discord and forum RP – when two partners have characters ready but no opening scene, a prompt gets the first post written.

Sample scenarios

With Kevin and Stella as the two names, results look like this:

• Kevin and Stella wear the exact same outfit to a party, accidentally or as a prank.
• Kevin is so tired that they fall asleep on Stella.
• Kevin is temporarily turned into an animal, Stella is the only one who knows.
• (AU) Kevin gets a new job, and Stella is their manager.
• No one has seen Kevin for days, so Stella goes to check on them.
• 'It's okay, I know a shortcut!' says Kevin to Stella.
• Kevin is pretending they're someone else, and Stella might be buying it.

Pronouns in the prompts are always "they," so the scenarios work for any pairing without editing.
