Which worlds are in the list
The obvious ones are here: Tatooine, Naboo, Alderaan, Hoth, Dagobah, Bespin, Endor, Kamino, Geonosis, Mustafar, Utapau, Jakku, Takodana, Crait, Exegol's neighbor Kef Bir, and Yavin 4. So is the second tier from the prequels and the sequels: Christophsis, Felucia, Mygeeto, Saleucami, Polis Massa, Cantonica, D'Qar, Pasaana, Kijimi, Ajan Kloss. What makes the list more than a film index is the television and game material. From The Clone Wars: Abafar, Florrum, Mortis, Rugosa, Teth, Umbara, Zygerria. From Rebels: Lothal, Atollon. Endor appears twice, once as the moon and once as "Endor (Sanctuary)" for the gas giant it orbits. Both entries are canon, and their descriptions explain the difference.

Ways to use it
- Where the party goes next. Draw one planet and read the description aloud; the terrain and the faction mentioned in it are enough to improvise a session.
- Galaxy trivia. Draw ten, read only the descriptions and have players name the planet. The Clone Wars entries separate the film-only fans from the rest.
- Placing a fan-fiction scene. The description tells you who lives there and which era the world is tied to, so you don't accidentally put a Resistance base on a Separatist foundry world.
- Learning the map. Read a card, then look the planet up on the official databank or Wookieepedia for the region and hyperspace lanes. Ten a day gets you through the list in eight days.
Inventing your own planet name
If what you actually want is a new planet for an original story, the canon names show the patterns to copy. Many are two short syllables with a hard consonant (Hoth, Crait, Jakku, Bracca, Batuu). Some add a number for a moon or a colony (Yavin 4, Vandor-1, Barton 4). Others borrow a suffix that signals rank or position: Hosnian Prime, Numidian Prime, Lotho Minor, Skako Minor. Apostrophes and hyphens mark alien languages (Ahch-To, D'Qar, Lah'mu, Er'Kit). Pick one pattern, avoid real English words, and keep it to three syllables at most. Frequently asked questions
- Does it make up new Star Wars planet names?
No. All 78 names are existing canon planets and moons, each with a description. Use the naming patterns above if you need an original world.
- Is Coruscant in the list?
Not at the moment. The list has 78 worlds weighted toward the Outer Rim and the television series; Coruscant, Scarif, Exegol and Mandalore are among the well-known ones missing.
- Are Legends (Expanded Universe) planets included?
Only where they were brought into current canon, such as Moraband (the Sith homeworld formerly called Korriban) and Ossus. Purely Legends worlds are not in the list.
- Can I filter by film or era?
No. The only control is how many planets to draw, from 1 to 10. Every draw comes from the full list.
