Address in New Jersey

Get 1 to 15 random New Jersey street addresses, each with a house number, street, town and NJ ZIP code, ready to copy.

Enter a number from 1 to 15, press Generate Address, and you get that many random New Jersey street addresses. Each one is a single line in the standard US format: house number, street name, town, the NJ abbreviation and a five-digit ZIP code. Every card has a copy button, so pasting an address into a form or a spreadsheet takes one click. The addresses are drawn from a list of 1,000 entries we keep for New Jersey.

What the generator gives you

The only setting is the count. The default is three; the field accepts anything from 1 to 15 per run, and you can run it as many times as you like. Each result looks like this:

9174 Bridge St., Monmouth Beach, NJ 07511

The town names are real New Jersey municipalities: Haledon, Netcong, Roselle, Tuckerton, New Brunswick, Point Pleasant Beach, Edgewater, Swedesboro, Sea Isle City, Chatham, Bridgeton, Hopatcong, Rumson, Ventnor City and about 250 more. The street names are common ones (Green St., Summit St., Church St., Railroad St., 4th St.), and the ZIP codes all fall in New Jersey's 07001–08989 range. What the generator does not do is match the three parts to each other. A street, a town and a ZIP are combined at random, so the ZIP on a Rumson address is not necessarily Rumson's real ZIP, and the house number almost certainly does not exist. That is deliberate. You get something that looks and validates like a New Jersey address without pointing at anyone's front door.

Where a random NJ address is useful

  • Form and checkout testing. Address validators usually check the state abbreviation and that the ZIP is five digits starting with 07 or 08 for New Jersey. These pass that check, so you can test shipping estimates, tax lookups and address-parsing code with plausible input.
  • Seeding a database. Fifteen at a time, a few runs, and you have a page of customer records that read like New Jersey rather than like 123 Main St, Anytown.
  • Sample data in docs and mockups. A screenshot of a shipping label or a CRM record looks more finished with a Sea Isle City address than with lorem ipsum.
  • Fiction and screenwriting. If a character lives in New Jersey, a specific line like 560 Rose St., Bridgeton is more convincing than leaving the address blank, and you don't risk naming a real household.
  • Privacy placeholders. Some sites require an address just to show a price or a preview. A generated one keeps your own address out of a database you don't trust.

If you need addresses across the whole country, the Random US Address Generator pulls from all fifty states. For neighboring states, there are separate lists for New York, Delaware and Connecticut.

How a New Jersey address is written

New Jersey follows the standard USPS format. The delivery line is the house number followed by the street name and suffix (St., Ave., Rd., Blvd.). The last line is the town, the two-letter state abbreviation NJ and the ZIP code, in that order:

1655 Green St.
Haledon, NJ 07316

On a single line, the two parts are joined with a comma, which is the form the generator uses. Apartment or unit numbers, when there are any, go after the street on the delivery line (Apt 4B, Unit 12); the generator does not add them.

New Jersey ZIP codes

Every New Jersey ZIP code starts with 07 or 08. Broadly, 070–076 covers the northeast around Newark, Jersey City, Hackensack and Paterson, 077–079 covers Monmouth, Morris and western Union counties, and 080–089 covers the central and southern part of the state, including Camden, Cherry Hill, Atlantic City (08401), Cape May (08204) and Trenton (086xx). Because the leading digit is a zero, spreadsheets often strip it and turn 07316 into 7316. If you paste generated addresses into Excel or Google Sheets, format the ZIP column as text first.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real New Jersey addresses?

No. The towns are real and the ZIP codes are in New Jersey's range, but the house number, street, town and ZIP are combined at random, so the full address does not correspond to a real property.

Can I use a generated address for a shipping or billing form?

For testing your own forms, yes. Don't use one to receive goods, register an account you'll rely on, or for anything legal or official, since nothing will be delivered there and it isn't yours.

Why does my spreadsheet show a four-digit ZIP code?

New Jersey ZIP codes start with a zero, and spreadsheet software drops leading zeros from numbers. Set the column to text before pasting, or the tool's 07316 becomes 7316.

How many addresses can I generate at once?

Between 1 and 15 per click. Run it again for a fresh set; with 1,000 entries in the list, repeats across runs are uncommon but possible.

Does it cover a particular city, like Newark or Jersey City?

It covers the state as a whole. The list spans about 265 different municipalities, from Bergen County boroughs to the shore towns, and you can't filter to one city.
