Anime Power Generator
One random attack or ability name per press, in the form Element + Move + of the Beast, from a list of 300 names. The Anime Power Generator gives you a named attack. Press the button and you get one line like Crimson Beam of the Serpent, Thunderous Gale of the Unicorn or Void Blade of the Griffin, the kind of technique name a shonen character shouts before the screen goes white. There are 300 names in the list, all built the same way: an element or quality, a type of strike, and a beast it is named after.
It is for people writing or role-playing in an anime style who need a special move name fast: fanfic authors, tabletop players running a Naruto- or Bleach-flavored campaign, and anyone building an OC (original character) who needs a signature technique.
How the names are built
Every name follows one pattern, Adjective + Move + "of the" + Beast, and each slot draws from a fixed set of 20 words. That gives 8,000 possible combinations, of which 300 are in the list. The three word banks are:
| Slot | Words |
|---|---|
| Element or quality | Astral, Azure, Celestial, Crimson, Diamond, Divine, Emerald, Ethereal, Feral, Flaming, Frozen, Golden, Infernal, Luminous, Shadow, Silver, Sonic, Spectral, Thunderous, Void |
| Move | Arrow, Beam, Blade, Blast, Burst, Clash, Fist, Flare, Flash, Gale, Impact, Pulse, Shield, Spear, Storm, Strike, Surge, Vortex, Wave, Whirlwind |
| Beast | Bear, Crane, Dragon, Eagle, Elephant, Falcon, Fox, Griffin, Hawk, Leopard, Lion, Owl, Panther, Phoenix, Raven, Rhino, Serpent, Tiger, Unicorn, Wolf |
So the output is always an attack or technique name, not a power system, a quirk description or a transformation. If you want the name to sound like a defensive ability, wait for Shield; for a ranged one, Arrow, Beam or Spear; for a melee finisher, Fist, Blade or Strike.
Making the name fit your character
A generated name works best when the three parts line up with the character. A few tricks that anime writers use:
- Match the beast to the fighting style. Crane and Owl suit precise, patient fighters; Rhino and Bear suit brawlers; Serpent and Fox suit tricksters. If the beast doesn't fit, regenerate rather than force it.
- Use the element as the power system. Frozen, Flaming, Thunderous and Sonic map to ice, fire, lightning and sound users. Void, Shadow and Spectral read as dark or ghost types; Divine, Celestial and Luminous as holy or light types.
- Escalate across a fight. Keep the beast and change the move: Azure Strike of the Leopard for the opener, Azure Storm of the Leopard for the finisher.
- Translate it. Many series give techniques a Japanese name with an English gloss. "Crimson Beam of the Serpent" becomes Guren Jakō (crimson serpent light) or similar, and the English stays as the subtitle.
Ways people use it
- Original characters. Pair a name from here with a character from the Random Anime Character Generator or the Random Anime Girl Generator and you have a fighter with a signature move.
- Fanfiction for existing series. The Element + Move pattern sits comfortably alongside Naruto's jutsu names and Demon Slayer's breathing forms. The Random Naruto Character Generator and Random Demon Slayer Character Generator supply the cast.
- Tabletop and LARP. Roll a technique name at the table when a player levels up.
- Devil Fruits and Stands. For power systems rather than attacks, the Random Devil Fruit Generator and JOJO Stand Generator generate the ability itself; this page names the move that uses it.

Frequently asked questions
- Does it generate powers or attack names?
Attack and technique names. Every result is a three-part name like Golden Flash of the Unicorn. It does not describe what the power does or generate a full power system; that part is yours to write.
- How many different names are there?
300 in the list, drawn from 20 elements, 20 moves and 20 beasts. Each press returns one name at random, and repeats are possible.
- Can I choose the element or the animal?
No. There are no filters. Press again until the parts fit your character, or take a name and swap one word by hand using the tables above.
- Can I use a generated name for my OC or fanfic?
Yes. The names are generic combinations of common English words and aren't tied to any series, so they are safe to use in fan works, original stories and games.
