Random California Address Generator
Get 1 to 10 random California street addresses with city, CA and a real 5-digit ZIP, drawn from a list of 330 real-format addresses.Enter a count from 1 to 10, press Generate Address, and you get that many California street addresses on copyable cards. Every result comes from a fixed list of 330 real-format addresses, and most of them are in the East Bay: Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Berkeley, San Leandro, Union City, Livermore, Castro Valley and Pleasanton together account for roughly two-thirds of the list. The remainder is scattered across the state, with entries in Los Angeles, Orange, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Redding, Mountain View, Cupertino, Carson and Mammoth Lakes. The random California address generator is for anyone who needs a CA address that a form will accept without borrowing a real person's home.
What a result looks like
Each address is a single line in the format most US systems expect: street number, street name written out in full, city, the CA abbreviation and a five-digit ZIP. Three from the list:
- 1040 University Avenue, Berkeley CA 94710
- 43626 Bryant Street, Fremont CA 94539
- 3905 Lyceum Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90066
The tool shuffles the list and takes the first N, so a batch of 10 never contains the same address twice. There is no filter for city, county or ZIP; each click is a fresh random slice of the whole pool. Because the addresses are anchored to real streets and ZIPs, they geocode correctly and pass the format checks used by carriers and address-validation APIs.
California address and ZIP code reference
- ZIP ranges. California ZIPs run from 90001 to 96162. 900xx to 918xx is the Los Angeles basin, 92xxx is San Diego, Orange County and the Inland Empire, 93xxx the Central Coast and Central Valley south, 94xxx the Bay Area, 95xxx Sacramento, the North Coast and the Sierra foothills, and 96xxx the far north.
- East Bay ZIPs in this list. Oakland 946xx, Berkeley 947xx, Fremont and Union City 945xx, Hayward and San Leandro 945xx, Livermore and Pleasanton 945xx.
- Street naming. Fremont and Hayward use five-digit house numbers (43626 Bryant Street) because their grids were numbered from a regional baseline; Berkeley and Oakland mostly use four. Los Angeles addresses often carry a directional such as "West Chapman Avenue".
- State highway addresses. A few entries are on numbered state routes, written as "800 California 116, Sebastopol CA 95472". That is the USPS-accepted form for rural addresses on a state highway.
Where these get used
- Checkout and shipping-form tests. Real city and ZIP pairs keep validation from bouncing a test order. The 94xxx cluster is handy when you want all your test users in one sales-tax jurisdiction.
- Demo data for a CRM or app. Combine a batch here with a number from the California phone number generator to build complete dummy contacts with matching state codes.
- Mockups and screenshots. An address on a sample invoice or driver's license mockup looks right when the ZIP and city actually belong together.
- Fiction and screenwriting. Writers setting a scene in Oakland or Fremont can lift a street that exists rather than inventing one.
For Los Angeles specifically, the Random Address in Los Angeles page has a dedicated LA list. If you need spread across states, use the Random US Address Generator, or pick another state such as New York, Illinois or Oregon. All of them are listed under all address & postal code generators.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these real addresses in California?
The streets, cities and ZIP codes are real and consistent with each other, so the addresses validate. They are not linked to any person and must not be used for identity verification, deliveries or anything that requires a genuine residence.
- Can I generate a California address and phone number together?
Not in one click. Generate the address here, then use the California phone number generator for a matching 213, 310, 415, 510 or other CA area code number.
- Which parts of California are covered?
Mostly the East Bay (Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Berkeley, San Leandro, Union City, Livermore, Castro Valley, Pleasanton), with smaller numbers in Los Angeles, Orange, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Redding, Silicon Valley and a few rural towns. There is no city filter.
- How many addresses can I generate at once?
Between 1 and 10 per click, with no duplicates inside a batch. Run it again for a new set.
