Random Italy Address Generator
Get up to 15 made-up Italian addresses at once, each with a street, town, province and five-digit CAP, ready to copy into a test form. The Random Italy Address Generator produces between 1 and 15 made-up Italian street addresses per click. Each one follows the Italian pattern of street type first and house number last (Via Giulia 42, not 42 Giulia Street), then names a town, one of Italy's 110 provinces and a five-digit postal code. None of the addresses exist, which is the point: they fill address fields in test forms, sample data and demos without pointing at a real household.
How it works
There is one setting, the number of addresses, from 1 to 15. Press Generate Address and the tool builds each line from the Italian locale of the Faker library:
- Street – one of seven Italian street types (Via, Piazza, Strada, Borgo, Contrada, Rotonda, Incrocio) followed by an Italian first name or surname and a one- to three-digit number. About half the time a unit is appended, such as “Appartamento 12” or “Piano 3”.
- Town – an invented name assembled from real Italian toponym parts: a prefix like San, Borgo, Sesto or Quarto, a personal name, and a regional suffix like “a mare”, “del friuli”, “nell'emilia” or “terme”. The towns are fictional but read as Italian place names.
- Province – drawn from a list of 110 real provinces, from Agrigento to Viterbo.
- CAP – a random five-digit code. It is not matched to the province, so 00185 can turn up next to Teramo.
Every result ends with “Italy” and comes on its own card with a copy button; click the icon and the whole line goes to your clipboard. Press Generate again for a fresh set.
Sample output
These were produced by the tool, so you can see the exact one-line format before you start:
- Via Costante 508, Guardea del friuli, Trento 86909, Italy
- Borgo Vilfredo 97, Appartamento 31, Settimo Italo lido, Rimini 65793, Italy
- Contrada Chilà 81, Quarto Vodingo, Teramo 94022, Italy
How a real Italian address is written
If you need to lay the pieces out on separate lines for an envelope or an address form, the Italian convention is:
| Line 1 | Recipient name | Giovanni Bianchi |
| Line 2 | Street type, street name, house number | Via Roma 123 |
| Line 3 | CAP, town, two-letter province code | 00185 Roma RM |
| Line 4 | Country (international mail only) | Italia |
Two details matter for form validation. The CAP (codice di avviamento postale) is always exactly five digits, and the first two digits identify the area: 00 is Rome, 20 Milan, 80 Naples, 10 Turin, 50 Florence. Provinces are written as two-letter codes after the town (RM, MI, NA, TO, FI). The generator prints the full province name rather than the code, and its CAPs are random, so treat the output as format-correct filler rather than a geographically consistent record.
Where the addresses come in handy
- Testing checkout and sign-up forms. Fifteen addresses with Italian street types and five-digit codes are enough to check that a form accepts “Via” prefixes, accented characters and numbers after the street name.
- Seeding demo databases. Copy a batch into a customers table so a demo of an Italian storefront looks populated without importing real people.
- Fiction and screenplays. A character's address in Settimo Italo lido, Rimini is plausible on the page and can't be traced to anyone.
- Placeholder text in mockups. Designers use them to see how an Italian address wraps in a card or a label.
Need a different country in the same format? There are matching generators for France, Sweden, the Netherlands, Mexico and Canada, and the full list is under all address & postal code generators.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these real addresses in Italy?
No. The provinces are real, but the town names are assembled from name parts, the street names are personal names, and the postal code is random. Nothing generated here maps to an actual building.
- How many Italian addresses can I generate at once?
Between 1 and 15 per click. If you need more, press Generate Address again; each press produces a new set.
- Can I pick a specific province or city?
Not on this page. The province is chosen at random from the list of 110, and there is no filter for region or city.
- Why doesn't the postal code match the province?
The CAP is five random digits, generated independently of the province. It has the right length for form validation but is not geographically consistent.
- Can I use a fake Italian address to sign up for a service?
Use them where a placeholder is acceptable: test accounts, demos and sample data. Don't use them to misrepresent where you live for billing, shipping, tax or legal purposes.
