Random Belgium Phone Number Generator
Get one to ten fake Belgian mobile numbers in the +32 4XX XX XX XX format, ready to copy. The Random Belgium Phone Number Generator produces between one and ten fake Belgian mobile numbers in the international format, for example +32-471-23-45-67. Every number starts with the country code +32 and the mobile indicator 4, and has the nine national digits a real Belgian mobile has, so it passes length and prefix checks in sign-up forms and phone-field validators. The digits after the 4 are random, so none of the numbers is assigned to a real subscriber. Each card has a copy button. It is meant for developers, QA testers, designers filling mockups and writers who need a Belgian number that will not ring on someone's desk.
What you get
The only setting is the count, from 1 to 10 (the default is 5). Output is fixed to the mobile pattern +32-4XX-XX-XX-XX; there is no landline option, no city or province filter and no choice of carrier. Each result card shows the number and the label "Belgium" beneath it, and clicking the number copies it to the clipboard.
How Belgian phone numbers are structured
Belgium's numbering plan is run by the BIPT and is a closed plan: every national number has exactly nine digits after the trunk prefix 0 for mobiles and most modern services, or eight for the older fixed-line zones. Here is the shape of the main number types.
| Type | Domestic format | International format | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile | 04XX XX XX XX | +32 4XX XX XX XX | Always 10 digits domestically. The second digit is 4 and the next two identify the operator range. |
| Fixed line, big cities | 0X XXX XX XX | +32 X XXX XX XX | Single-digit area codes: 02 Brussels, 03 Antwerp, 04 Liège, 09 Ghent. 9 digits domestically. |
| Fixed line, other zones | 0XX XX XX XX | +32 XX XX XX XX | Two-digit area codes: 010 Wavre, 011 Hasselt, 016 Leuven, 050 Bruges, 056 Kortrijk, 071 Charleroi, 081 Namur. 9 digits domestically. |
| Freephone and premium | 0800 XX XXX / 090X XX XX XX | +32 800 XX XXX | 0800 is toll-free; 070 is shared-cost; 0900 to 0909 are premium rate. |
A few details matter for testing. Belgian mobile ranges are allocated by the three-digit block after the 0: 047X belongs historically to Proximus, 048X to Base (now Telenet), 049X to Orange, with 0456, 0460 and 0465 to 0468 assigned to MVNOs and newer entrants. Number portability means the prefix no longer reliably tells you the operator. The country code +32 replaces the leading 0 when dialing from abroad, so 0471 23 45 67 becomes +32 471 23 45 67, which is 11 digits in E.164 form. Belgians write mobiles in 4-2-2-2 groups and fixed lines in 2-3-2-2 or 3-2-2-2 groups, which is why this tool separates the digits the way it does.
One structural limitation: the generator fixes the 4 and randomizes the next eight digits, so it can produce blocks such as 041 or 043 that are not currently allocated to any operator. That's deliberate; unallocated numbers are the safest kind of test data, and validators that only check length and the leading 4 will still accept them.
Sample output
Five numbers in the format the tool produces. All are random and none corresponds to a real line.
| Generated number | Written domestically |
|---|---|
| +32-471-83-42-19 | 0471 83 42 19 |
| +32-486-15-90-27 | 0486 15 90 27 |
| +32-493-62-08-54 | 0493 62 08 54 |
| +32-467-30-77-11 | 0467 30 77 11 |
| +32-478-25-46-93 | 0478 25 46 93 |
Ways people use it
- Form validation. Ten numbers is enough to confirm a phone field accepts +32 with hyphens, strips them correctly, and stores an 11-digit E.164 value.
- Seeding test databases. A customer table for a Belgian client needs plausible mobile numbers next to names and addresses. Pair these with the Random UK Phone Number Generator or the Random India Phone Number Generator when the same table needs several countries.
- Mockups and screenshots. A contact card in a design comp should not show a real person's number.
- Fiction and scripts. A character in Antwerp needs a number on screen for a second; a random one avoids the risk of a real subscriber getting calls.
The same tool exists for other countries in the US, Canada, Australia and the UAE, and you can browse all phone number generators from the category page.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these real Belgian phone numbers?
No. The country code and the mobile indicator 4 are fixed, and the remaining eight digits are random. A generated number may coincidentally match an assigned line, but there is no way to know which, and you should never call or text a generated number.
- Can I receive SMS or calls on a generated number?
No. These are strings of digits, not working lines. If you need a number that can receive verification codes, you need a virtual number service, not a generator.
- Does the tool generate Belgian landline numbers?
Not currently. All output uses the +32 4XX mobile pattern. Belgian landlines use single-digit area codes for Brussels (02), Antwerp (03), Liège (04) and Ghent (09), and two-digit codes such as 050 for Bruges elsewhere.
- Which operator does a generated number belong to?
None. Belgian mobile blocks are allocated in ranges such as 047X, 048X and 049X, but the tool does not restrict itself to allocated blocks, and number portability means prefixes no longer identify operators anyway.
- Is it legal to use a fake Belgian number?
Using a random number as test data, in a mockup or in fiction is fine. Entering one on a form to impersonate someone or to evade identity checks is not, and services that send SMS verification will reject it in any case.
