Random French Phone Number Generator
Get one to ten made-up French numbers in +33-X-XX-XX-XX-XX format, each on a card with a copy button. The Random French Phone Number Generator produces one to ten made-up numbers in the pattern +33-X-XX-XX-XX-XX: France's +33 country code followed by nine random digits, grouped in pairs the way the French write them. Each number gets its own card labeled "France" with a copy button. It is for developers testing a phone field, designers filling a mockup and writers who need a Paris number on a business card without borrowing a real one.
The single setting
Enter how many numbers you want, 1 to 10, and press Generate Phone Number. There is no region picker and no mobile/landline switch; every digit after +33 is random, generated in your browser. Each click replaces the previous batch.
What you get
Cards showing numbers such as +33-6-12-34-56-78. Click the copy icon to put one on your clipboard; a checkmark confirms it. Because the first digit after +33 is random, about one number in ten begins with 0, which no real French number does in international format, and others begin with 8 or 9, which are non-geographic ranges. For data that only needs the right length and country code this is fine. If a person will read it, use the table below to swap the first digit for a region or a mobile prefix.
Uses
- Form validation. Confirm that a checkout or signup form accepts +33, the hyphens and a total of eleven digits, and that it strips formatting before storing the number.
- Test databases. Ten numbers per click to seed a customer table for a French storefront or a CRM demo.
- Mockups. An invoice or contact card for a Lyon-based client looks right with a +33 number rather than a US-style placeholder.
- Scripts and fiction. A number that appears on screen or in print should not belong to anyone; random digits are the safe choice.
How French phone numbers are structured
France uses country code +33 and ten-digit domestic numbers that always begin with 0. Dialing from abroad you drop that 0, which leaves nine digits after +33, exactly the shape this generator makes. The first digit after the 0 tells you what kind of number it is:
| Domestic prefix | Type | Example in the generator's format |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Landline, Île-de-France (Paris region) | +33-1-42-68-53-00 |
| 02 | Landline, Northwest (Brittany, Normandy, Loire) | +33-2-98-46-12-34 |
| 03 | Landline, Northeast (Lille, Strasbourg, Dijon) | +33-3-88-21-45-67 |
| 04 | Landline, Southeast (Lyon, Marseille, Nice) | +33-4-72-10-30-30 |
| 05 | Landline, Southwest (Bordeaux, Toulouse) | +33-5-56-00-66-00 |
| 06, 07 | Mobile | +33-6-12-34-56-78 |
| 08 | Toll-free and premium-rate services | +33-8-00-12-34-56 |
| 09 | Non-geographic (VoIP, internet boxes) | +33-9-70-12-34-56 |
Within France people write numbers as five pairs, 06 12 34 56 78, and say them the same way. The tool keeps the pair grouping but starts from +33, so a generated +33-6-12-34-56-78 is dialed domestically as 06 12 34 56 78. Mobile numbers moved into the 07 range as well once 06 filled up, so both prefixes are common today.
For other countries, the UK phone number generator, US phone number generator and Canada phone number generator follow their own plans, and there are Turkey and India versions. Browse all phone number generators for the full set.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these real French phone numbers?
No. The nine digits after +33 are random and no directory is consulted. One could coincide with a real line by chance, so use them as placeholders and do not call or text them.
- How do I make a generated number look like a French mobile?
Change the first digit after +33 to 6 or 7. Everything else can stay as generated; French mobile numbers are 06 or 07 followed by eight digits.
- Why does a number start with +33-0?
The generator does not exclude 0 from the first position. In real dialing the leading 0 is dropped after +33, so replace that 0 with a digit from 1 to 9 if you need a valid-looking number.
- How many numbers can I generate per click?
From 1 to 10. Press the button again for another batch; there is no limit on how many times you run it.
